Join Yampa Valley Climate Crew to restore beaver habitat using beaver dam analog structures!
We will be working with The Nature Conservancy to restore beaver habitat on Willow Creek in Moffat County. Beaver complexes increase drought resiliency, improve water quality, and create high-quality habitat for numerous species. However, degraded streams make it difficult for beavers to recolonize these areas. We will be constructing hand-built structures called beaver dam analogs, which replicate beaver activity and help transform streams into prime beaver habitat.
